Recruiting is easy?
Easy to say, if you've never gone deep into it. Or if you did in-house recruiting for one company with a handful of open positions.
I used to think we could train recruiters from zero. That changed once we scaled past what a small team could realistically handle.
It's not about memorizing a pitch. A recruiter has to know which driver actually qualifies for which carrier, and which carrier actually fits what that driver wants: the pay, the home time, the equipment. Get either wrong and you lose trust, with the driver, the carrier, or both. That judgment takes years, not weeks.
We tried training from zero more than once. Smart, hardworking people, and every time it was too much to handle. Not one lasted a month.
My team of five carries 25 years of combined trucking recruiting experience. We don't send carriers junk applications. Every candidate gets a real pre-screen first, there's no room for mistakes.
We have a good problem: we're covering 50+ carriers right now and don't have the manpower to give every one of them the attention it deserves.
This is an open call, but only for recruiters with real trucking recruiting experience. It's a performance-based position: you get paid on what you close, not just for showing up. Strong performers earn real money, no ceiling on commission. People just filling a seat sort themselves out fast.
